DianaLyn's many achievements include Girls' State, being listed among "Who's
Who," Honor Society, Mar-Vals, Girls' Chorus, Drama and participating in school
musicals, FHA, Drill Team for three years and serving as Sergeant-at-Arms, BYU
scholarship, Junior Miss finalist with honorary scholastic mention, Pep Club,
received a superior solo at contest and drama treasurer.
She enjoys flying kites, skiing, singing, reading and spacing off. The highlight of
her high school years has been participating in Mar-Vals, Girls' State and school
musicals. A few of her favorites include bacon and shrimp, Air Supply and the
Commorodores and "On Golden Pond."
DianaLyn dislikes it when people spell her name wrong and having to move to
Arbon during the summer and driving back and forth.
She claims her most embarrassing moment was when she tipped her plate into her
lap on prom night.
After graduation, she plans to attend BYU for at least the first four years and earn a
doctorate degree in Psychology, serve a mission, and sooner or later get married.
DianaLyn's message is, "Don't worry about what others think but rather enjoy
yourself doing whatever you want to do."
I, DianaLyn, with my 4.0, leave my place in drill team to Carole Cole.

My Life Since 1982:
"After graduating from Marsh Valley High, I attended Brigham Young University. In 1984 I married Daren Perkins
from Chesterfield, Idaho. Even though he only attended North Gem till his freshman year, he still considers it
home. Both of us continued to attend BYU until 1987 when I graduated with a degree in Human Resource
Development. With two daughters in our family already, I decided it was time to stop school, and be a mom.
Daren continued on and got his Jurist Doctorate also at BYU. He graduated in 1990, and the day after his
graduation, our only son was born. Our first job out of college took us to Mesquite, Texas (the Dallas/Fort Worth
area). We lived there for five years and during that time had another daughter born to us. After that, we
decided we wanted to be closer to family, and so we took a job in Phoenix Arizona in 1995. We also lived there
for five years, but this time, we had two daughters join our family. In 2000, Daren had an opportunity to give up
the big firm hours and take a position as an in-house attorney for JPMorgan Chase. We would be farther from
family, but having a dad around more made the sacrifice seem more like a blessing. We accepted this position,
and moved back to the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. We have been in the same location now for over seven years, a
record for us that I hope to keep for a while longer. We do love the “southern hospitality,” but both of us miss
our Idaho roots, and hope to make it back sometime, at least to retire."
