                                                                             My Life Since 1982:

"Well, for sure the time has gone quickly and I'm only reminded of what I've/we've done when looking at faded
pictures or having a moment to reflect on memories.  I would suspect, in the grand scheme of things my life
hasn't been all that different than any of the rest of our class, and I look forward to reading other classmate's
bios.

1982 – 1986 – Nostalgically and patriotically , I enlisted in the US Army and spent time jumping out of planes and
shooting small arms in various places around the world, but after digging one too many foxholes, I decided that I’
d better get an education to move ahead in the world. ; )

1986 – 1993 – Stayed in the Wyoming National Guard working part-time as a crew chief on MEDEVAC helicopters
while I was studying full-time at the University of Wyoming for a BA in International Studies and a BA in Modern
Languages.  Traveled a bit, studied abroad in Germany, worked odd-jobs, and met my to-be wife while at UW.
Certainly, some of the best times of my life were had in Laramie, Wyoming.  If you can believe it, I had long hair at
one period!  It was sort of a Jim Morrison look.

1993-1997 – Moved to France and married my wife, Nathalie.  I realized that my academic credentials would limit
our lifestyle aspirations, so applied to attend an MBA program.  Attended the University of Rochester, in NY
majoring in Marketing and Information Systems.  I was probably the dumbest person in the class and found the
program to be the most challenging of my life.  Luckily I survived, and with our first born, moved to New Jersey
for the cosmopolitan life close to NYC.

1997-2001 - Adjusted to being a parent and having a “real job”, while trying to still figure out what I wanted to do.
Traveled the world with the family and with AlliedSignal working in IT and Business Process Re-engineering and
then decided I needed some more challenge, so came to work for Ernst & Young LLP in New York City.

2001 – Present – Since 1997, we lived on the same street for almost 10 years, which is saying a lot for us.  During
that time we had our second son, Diego, in 1993 and our daughter, Violette, in 2006.  We spent a year in Paris,
France while Nathalie got her own MBA and we have recently moved to another apartment in New Jersey, while
keeping a place in upstate New York to enjoy on the weekends, holidays, and any free time.  My wife has begun
her career desire to work in the luxury goods industry, in which she excels tremendously.  We still haven’t
decided where we want to end up, so we try and find the balance in working hard and playing hard along the
way.  I’d have to say, we’ve been blessed with tremendous health and happiness.

Honestly, I can’t believe it’s been 25 years, and I’m thrilled to think that so many of us have made it this far.  I
remember one year at MVHS when another 25 year reunion was held during homecoming.  I recall looking at
those people and thinking, “damn, they look old”.  Well, its our turn, and I’ll go out on a limb to conjecture that the
class of ’82 is looking great.
